r Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said that he and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would continue struggle against ‘corrupt’ politics in the country.
Speaking at a ceremony in Dera Ghazi Khan, PM Abbasi – once again – criticised Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani’s appoinment a
s the Upper House head. “How can a corrupt appointment serve the nation and work for the betterment?,” he questioned.
“Senate chairman should come out and take into confidence the public regarding his fair appointment. Are those who bought Senate seats eligible for the job? I will continue to in
terfere on this matter and struggle against the corrupt politics,” the premier added.
Referring to former PM Nawaz Sharif’s ouster and appearances before the accountability court, PM Abbasi said that only those who work for the welfare of the country are ‘dragged to the courts’.

The premier continued that PML-N has always respected the judiciary, but political matters are decided by the public and via
vote. “The public decisions are always correct,” PM added.
